Lani Brumley, Seth Stencil, Sarah Kelly, Karla Baehr & Katelynn Miller
EPO
These educators have put in extra time to connect with and support students and families. Their compassion, dedication and kind nature have made EPO a better place for students to grow and learn. We are truly lucky to have each of them serving our students!
Shane Provost
Manchester
Mr. Shane Provost wrote a grant that secured funding for the majority of the cost for the 5th graders at Manchester Elementary to experience outdoor education and team-building at Sound View Camp for three days and two nights in October. He planned, organized and coordinated nearly everything on his own to ensure the success of the camp experience for the 65 students, 9 chaperones and 3 teachers who went. His efforts helped create a plethora of experiences and memories for everyone involved!
Heidi Wilske
Transportation
Heidi consistently goes above and beyond. She is so caring and thoughtful. As a senior router, of course, she is highly capable and knowledgeable. Her customer service skills are impeccable; she is kind to even the rudest complainer. Even when she is swamped with work that seems endless, she takes the time to ask how others are doing, whether they are comfortable, and is concerned about whether they are feeling overwhelmed. Her positivity and concern for others brings such a warm presence to the office, and I am so grateful for her.
Marcus Logue
SKHS
Marcus never hesitates to respond to students needs. Whenever there is a call over the radio for help, he is the first to respond regardless of if it’s his assigned grade level or not. He spends time to develop positive relationships with the students and always has their best interests at heart.
Brittany Crume
OSS
Above and beyond are just the beginning of the words to describe the incredible work Brittany is doing for our preschool students with speech and language delays. She walked into a three-person job and in the midst of this staffing shortage is not only ensuring compliance but continues to advocate for best practices. She is doing all of this with incredible grace, positivity and professionalism. We are so thankful for South Kitsap finding her, giving her to preschool and we aren’t letting her go.
Alison Piper
Hidden Creek
Alison is always giving her time and energy to her team, her school, and the community. She took time over the summer to be working on beautification projects for the school to be a welcoming and inviting place for families. She works with volunteers on a weekly basis and will help out any staff member that needs it. She is on the Sunshine Committee and lives it out. She shares resources freely with staff. She participates in all school events and is often the earliest to arrive and the latest to leave. She works diligently with her students (many of which are SPED) and NEVER gives up on reaching out to them and their families. She sends home videos for parents; she will comment on students work both by writing ion it or creating a video that they can see and hear her, and she goes through their work. She is a mentor teacher that takes time to help other educators learn.
Michelle Scheer
John Sedgwick
Michelle maintains a consistent positive attitude and models top-down leadership. She is an inspiration for all who work with her and truly embodies the term nurturing growth, as the advocates for her students and team. It is an honor to work with her as we all appreciate her professionalism and commitment to students and staff.
Valerie Amis
Orchard Heights
Valerie is an inspiration. She puts all her love into her job, and it shows. I see her making a difference in so many little one's lives. It is her mission to give love where it is needed and build firm building blocks for the future of every child she comes into contact with. I am so very grateful for her guidance and her passion for teaching children.
Sgt. 1st class Adrian Flores & Sara Jufer
Army Recruitment
Sargent Flores and Sargent Jufer have been consistently active in the NJROTC program and have taken the time to connect with students, build a trusting relationship and offer their honest guidance and support. They have made time in their off-duty hours to be present at events and field trips and have gone the extra mile in setting a positive example for Cadets. We are very lucky to have their support.
