Five Students Earn Top 10 Placement for Microsoft Competition

Five students from South Kitsap High School earned their placement in the top-ten of the Fall Qualifier for the 2026 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) U.S. National Championship.

The Fall Qualifier challenges students aged 13-22 to demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Students from across Washington State competed by submitting high-scoring certification exams, with rankings determined by accuracy and speed.

Please join us in congratulating the five students in our district who placed in the top 10:

  • Freddy Rollins earned 2nd place in Microsoft PowerPoint, scoring 978/1000 and completing the exam in just 25 minutes.
  • Samuel DiVitto placed 4th in Microsoft PowerPoint with a score of 978/1000, finishing with 10 minutes left.
  • Caleb Love earned 9th place in Microsoft Word, achieving a perfect score of 1000/1000 and completing the exam with 12 minutes remaining.
  • Russ Bass placed 9th in Microsoft Excel, earning a score of 940/1000 and finishing with 8 minutes left.
  • James Cardens finished in 10th place in Microsoft PowerPoint, scoring 957/1000 and completing the exam with nearly 20 minutes remaining.
