FREE Summer Meal Program for South Kitsap Families

South Kitsap School District | FREE Summer Meals Program | For 18 years & Under | June 25 - August 6

As schools let out for summer, South Kitsap School District is proud to launch its no-charge Summer Meal Program to make sure every child in our community has access to nutritious meals while school’s doors are closed.

Who’s Eligible?

All children 18 years and under—no registration or income verification required. Simply show up at any site or pre-order your multi-day meal kit.


Hot Lunch & Sack Meals

Hot Lunch

  • Where: Marcus Whitman Middle School, 1887 Madrona Drive, Port Orchard
  • When: Monday–Thursday, June 25–July 31
  • Time: 11:30 AM–12:00 PM

Sack Lunch

  • Where: Port Orchard Waterfront Gazebo & Spin Park, 933 Bay Street
  • When: Wednesdays only, July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 & August 6
  • Time: 12:00 PM–12:15 PM

Sack Dinner

  • Where: Bethany Lutheran Church, 151 Tremont St, Port Orchard
  • When: Wednesdays only, July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 & August 6
  • Time: 5:45 PM–6:45 PM

Multi-Day Meal Kits (Pre-Order Required)

For families on the go, we offer 2-day and 5-day kits packed with fresh produce and milk.

  • Location: Burley Glenwood Elementary (100 SW Lakeway Blvd, Port Orchard)
  • Pick-Up Times: 10:30 AM–12:30 PM
  • Schedule:
    • 2-Day Kits (Mondays): 6/30, 7/7, 7/14, 7/21
    • 5-Day Kits (Wednesdays): 6/25, 7/2, 7/9, 7/16, 7/23

Order by June 20. Children are encouraged to be present at pick-up to help us verify quantities.

Our district participates in the federally funded Summer Food Program, ensuring no child goes hungry when school’s out. Meals meet USDA nutrition standards, supporting healthy growth and learning.

Free lunch is possible due to the district’s participation in the federally funded Summer Food Program that offers free lunches to children 18 years of age and under.
