Over 200 South Kitsap Highly Capable program students from all three middle schools recently participated in a History Day Showcase at Marcus Whitman Middle School.  They shared their projects, the culmination of an extensive research project connected to the theme “Frontiers in History: People, Places, and Ideas.”  Projects had to use primary sources to explain the significance of an event or person connected to a frontier in history via an exhibit, documentary, website, paper, or performance.  Students with the strongest entries from each middle school will be invited to participate in the Olympic Regional History Day competition in March.
