Kurt Wagner Education Fund Awards Over $18,000 in Educational Grants
Wednesday, November 27, was an exciting day for some South Kitsap teachers/teacher groups as they were surprised by the Kurt Wagner Education Foundation crew with checks fulfilling their grant requests. There were sixty-eight applications, all with worthy ideas, which made the decisions by the committee very difficult. The most applications ever by 33%, which just shows the needs that are out there. We wish we could fund them all, but that’s just not possible.
There were forty grants funded this year encompassing twelve different schools.
