Olalla Elementary Honored by Washington School Recognition Program

We are proud to share that Olalla Elementary has been recognized by the Washington School Recognition Program for its exceptional progress in supporting student growth during the 2023-2024 school year.

This recognition places Olalla among just 406 public schools in the state—representing only 16% of Washington schools—that were honored for closing opportunity gaps, fostering academic achievement, and advancing student growth. 

Olalla Elementary was recognized in the Growth category, reflecting strong academic momentum and a commitment to helping every student succeed.

"Achieving this honor is no small feat,” said Bill Kallappa, chair of the State Board of Education. “It takes a team of dedicated educators and administrators working together to ensure that their students have the knowledge they need to be successful.”

As part of the recognition, Olalla will receive a banner to proudly display on campus.
