Property Tax Credit for Senior School Helpers
The Senior Tax Exchange Program offers qualifying residents an opportunity to receive a tax break on their local school taxes in exchange for their time and skills helping within the South Kitsap School District.
Space is limited in the program. Those interested must pass a background check and meet the eligibility requirements: 61 years or older, live in SKSD boundaries and pay taxes on their residence, combined annual gross household income of less than $65,000, be willing to help at least 20 hours before the end of the school year.
