Misti Ness

Misti Ness SK Way Award

A long time driver for South Kitsap, Misti has earned her stripes transporting kids to and from school every day. Recently, she showed just how amazing she is, managing a medical emergency that required the help of EMT services. In the middle of all that she protected the student’s privacy and handled everything with care. She kept her middle schoolers calm and safe until help arrived. She showed the best side of SK and proved that care for our kids doesn't just happen in the classroom.

He has improved the amount of academic tasks he is willing to do because of the trust he has for her and the relationship they have built. We are lucky to have her!

Nicole Watkins

Nicole always goes above and beyond. She is constantly finding new ways to meet student needs, support families, and improve our school. Recently she became aware a student was having a birthday and parents hadn't been paid due to the shutdown. She went through her stash of gifts and prizes and found some things, wrapped them up, and snuck them to the family. The family appreciated it so much! This is just one example of the incredible ways she loves people and loves South Colby!
