Jennifer Denison

Jennifer exemplifies the spirit of inclusion and her efforts have a lasting impact on our school culture. By striving to improve her language skills and always taking the lead in welcoming Multilingual families, she reinforces the message that everyone belongs. Her dedication makes John Sedgwick not just a school, but a home for all families, where they can feel comfortable and supported.

Jackie Zappey

Mrs. Zappey invites staff members in the break room to share what they are thankful for each day during lunch. She has a light-hearted, positive approach to challenging situations, and encourages others to find gratitude in their day, no matter how small.

Christine Mart

Christine shows up every day ready to support our students and staff. Christine continues to hold high expectations and accountability in order to succeed and achieve our vision for TOP 5. Christine is absolutely rocking this school year!

Cheryl Chase

Mrs. Chase has used her precious time in retirement to give to our students. She comes at recess to play games which reduces behavior issues. She assists music teacher with concerts and musicals. She is in the first grade hall helping students read. We are so blessed she is willing to come back in to South Colby and our students think she is a ROCK STAR!

Victoria Brendel

Victoria is an amazing registrar (and an all around wonderful human.) She takes pride in doing things well and as a result of her high standards, our school is better able to serve students. Time and time again her attention to detail and care for the precise elements of her job has lead us to discover student needs that might have otherwise gone un-noticed. She continually supports our students, and I am so thankful for her.

Amanda Estabrook & Jeannie Box

During the summer Amanda and Jeannie helped FNS prepare and distribute meals to local families in South Kitsap. They showed up every day with a smiles and positive attitudes, ready to help. I am so thankful that they decided to help our department because this summer was a learning curve and we couldn't have been successful without their support.

Jordan Carte

Jordan has created a classroom environment of inclusion and kindness. Learning and academic challenges can be a defeating experience for some, but Jordan’s fostering of kindness for self and others makes it all less scary for students. Her entire class exhibits grace to themselves and their classmates when mistakes are made; creating a wonderful learning environment.

Theresa Crandall

Theresa was nominated twice.

Theresa has gone above and beyond with her loving services. She plans and creates beautiful gatherings and always includes everyone. She offers help with friends and family and makes each person feel like they belong in every situation.

 

As a para, Theresa has also provided the utmost dependability, stability and support for students.

Donna DeMott

Donna has been a valued part of Hidden Creek Elementary for nearly three years, serving as a long-term substitute in two special program classrooms. She creates nurturing, positive spaces that recognize students' unique strengths. Her smile and attitude are contagious, and she’s generous with her time, always finding ways to support all students. Thank you, Donna, for your dedication and the lasting impact you’ve made on our community!
