October 2023 SKWay Awards - Thank you for living the SKWay
Carrie Uranga
Although Carrie has embodied more than one of the SK Way core values, she has shined in the mission to Get Better Every Day. I have observed Carrie praise others for their hard work and celebrate those who have shown growth, no matter how small; she celebrates all wins. She is excited for all students and peers alike to succeed and is a foundational role model at Mullenix Ridge Elementary.

Noelle Mecl
Noelle is an amazing educator and department head for special education. She works tirelessly to ensure the staff and students are taken care of, going above and beyond to ensure our department is functioning effectively and positively for the students and families. As a first year teacher, she has been proactive in ensuring my success. I can't thank her enough. The time, energy, and passion for what she does is inspiring for me to strive toward, exemplifying the SK way of knowing our purpose!

Stephanie Warner
Stephanie works to know her purpose as she spent the summer cleaning the building, painting, and cleaning out the school. She has made connections with students and parents. She is willing to try new ways of doing things and has completely changed the school lunchroom routine. The students absolutely love her! Stephanie takes pride in our building and goes out of her way to help students and staff. Our building has never looked better than it does now!

Dave Goodwin
Dave strives to get better every day. He is gently, calmly, and with stability leading every day to make the high school better than it was the day or year before. He is open to his mistakes, but realizes that not everything has to be such a big deal and so intense. In the middle of a staff meeting, the fire alarm went off as he was talking about new trajectories in our building, he smiled and chuckled with grace with staff.

Sean Jue
It is clear that Sean knows his purpose and is passionate about nurturing relationships with students. He listens to students, meets them where they are at, encourages them to strive for better, and to make better decisions. He offers safety, understanding, and empathy to students. In turn, students become better adults in our community.

Marisa Coulter
Marisa Coulter deserves recognition for knowing her purpose and her outstanding advocacy for kids.
Her efforts to secure mental health support for one of our students have showcased her unwavering commitment to her students' well-being. Marisa fosters a classroom atmosphere of inclusivity and acceptance, and goes above and beyond to tailor her teaching to individual needs.
Her kindness, empathy, and relentless support have significantly impacted our entire school community.

Jacque Meddles
Gratitude goes to Jacque for her "above and beyond" actions this school year during a challenging start to the athletic season. She stepped up to help and is still helping out with the registration and paperwork process for our student-athletes. We couldn't have done it without you, thank you Jacque!

Erin Simon
Erin Simon embodies all five of the SK Way core values and stands out for Loving People.
She loves people unconditionally and gives back selflessly.
She helps those around her succeed, while also making them feel very special. She has a way of bringing out a person's unique strengths and helping them develop them.
