Board Fills Director District 4 Vacancy
We are excited to announce that the South Kitsap School Board has selected Andrew "Andy" Brandon as the new Director for District 4! This decision was made during the board meeting on June 5, 2024, after interviewing three strong candidates. Mr. Brandon will step in to fill the vacancy left by Jeff Wilson’s resignation.
Andy Brandon is no stranger to our community. He grew up attending South Kitsap schools and now, with his own family, continues to call Port Orchard home. With 17 years of service at the Port Orchard Police Department, including time as a School Resource Officer, he brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his new role.
In his application and interview, Mr. Brandon shared his passion for South Kitsap schools and community, saying, “I want to help the school district thrive not just because my children are in the system, but because I want the community I serve to thrive as well.”
Mr. Brandon will officially take the oath of office at a special board meeting on June 18, 2024. Regular school board meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm. The community is invited to attend in person at the Administration Office on Hoover Ave or via Zoom. For more info, call the Superintendent’s Office at 360-874-7001.
