School Board Director Vacancy - Apply Today

School Board Vacancy

The South Kitsap School Board has one vacancy created by the resignation of Mr. Eric Gattenby, Director District 1. State law calls for the remaining school board members to appoint a replacement within 90 days of the accepted resignation. The appointed board member will serve until the next regularly scheduled school board election held during the summer and fall of 2023.

The South Kitsap School District Board of Directors approved the timeline for the application process at the October 6 meeting. The timeline for selecting the replacement includes finalizing the selection criteria, widespread advertising of the application process, meeting time with the superintendent, and candidate interviews.
