Chromebook Protection Plan
Beginning in the 2023-24 school year, students in grades 6-12 (and others who take home technology devices) are eligible to participate in a district protection program to cover accidental damage or loss to student chromebooks.
Plan Cost
- The 2024-25 non-refundable cost will be $30/student/year
- Students eligible for Reduced Price lunch will pay $10
- Students eligible for Free lunch will also pay $10 starting this school year.
NOTE TO PARENTS: Make sure you complete a School Benefits Application and also the Annual Acknowledgement forms to insure your eligibility

- Enrollment must be purchased by Friday, September 27th (or within 30 days after student’s enrollment date)
Coverage Details
- The protection plan is non-transferable (ie. a protection plan is required for each named student)
- Coverage is as follows:
- The first accidental damage incident in a school year is covered at 100%
- The second accidental damage incident in a school year is covered at 50% (ie. student is responsible for 50% of the repair cost)
- Any additional damage in a school year is the student’s responsibility for full cost of repair
- Intentional damage is NOT covered – the student would be responsible for the full cost
- Lost or stolen devices require a $100 co-payment, which is refunded if the device is later found or recovered. (Subsequent loss/stolen requires a $200 co-payment)
