The Boys & Girls Club Steering Committee of the Port Orchard Branch continues to seek funding to make this program a reality for kids in our community. Donations are welcome and can be deposited at any Kitsap Bank branch to the attention of Mr. Bob Banks.

South Kitsap School District has made the difficult decision to suspend transportation from the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club and other childcare programs for the 2022/23 school year.

SKSD is anticipating significant bus driver shortages which impacts the ability to provide transportation services outside of our obligated home to school service. Public School Districts are not required to provide transportation for services outside of home-school service, nor do they receive funding from the state. For these reasons, South Kitsap School District will not provide school bus transportation from childcare facilities for the 2022/23 school year. We regret any inconvenience or hardship this may cause for South Kitsap families.
