Volunteer

2022-23 School Year

We are thankful to welcome volunteers back on campus for the 2022-23 school year. Volunteers give the gift of time and are important to the overall functioning of schools.

To volunteer, please contact your neighborhood school. We particularly need bilingual individuals who would be willing to occasionally serve as translators for the parents of our ESL students.

Volunteer Clearances

Complete a volunteer application at any school or at the district office. You will be asked for photo id. The volunteer coordinator will process your background check using the Washington State Patrol system and will contact you with your eligibility result. Clearances are valid for two years. This is in accordance with RCW 43.43.830 through 43.43.845 and is available at all South Kitsap School District buildings. As of 11/1/2022, the COVID vaccination requirement has lifted for public school staff and volunteers.
