Professional Development for Certificated and Classified Paraeducators

Log into your ProDev account (Class Link > ProDev) to view course offerings for professional development. Staff who require clock hours (certificated staff and paraeducators) are able to register/unregister for classes, find course information, print class schedules, check para competency and clock hour status, print certificates for courses taken, print clock hour reports, evaluation summaries, transcripts, and can house a list of your Out of District clock hours. Instructions, tutorials and links can be found on the Home tab in your ProDev account.

How to Register, Transcripts, Course Evaluations

  • Staff are required pre-register for courses. Preferred method is to register in your ProDev account, but can also be signing for clock hours on the day of training.  Complete Course Evaluations once completed (ProDev > My Records > Course Enrollment > Click on the CLIPBOARD )
  • Courses must be completed during the Start and End Dates of the course to receive credit.
  • Send documentation of completed courses to Tracy Schneewind in Teaching & Learning within 10 days of the Course End date to receive credit. (The Course Info PDF in the Course will list under the credits section if documentation is required).
  • Inservice Forms and Out of District clock hours (keep a copy for your own records) should be sent to Tracy Schneewind in Teaching & Learning for processing.  Transcripts should be sent to Sarah Conner in HR.

Paras:  Connect with Tracy Schneewind for help navigating the coursework required Fundamental Course of Study (FCS) . Information regarding Para Certification Program including the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS) and professional Certification requirements can be found at www.PESB.wa.gov. Paras who have completed their 28 FCS will need to complete 14 clock hours by the end of each school year. Courses should be completed during your normal work hours throughout the year, as time allows. Work with your supervisor to flex your hours to work on your courses.
