Professional Development for Certificated and Classified Paraeducators

Log into your ProDev account (Hello ID > ProDev) to view class offerings for professional development. Staff who require clock hours (certificated staff and paraeducators) are able to register/unregister for classes, find course information, print class schedules, check para competency and clock hour status, print certificates for classes taken, print clock hour reports, evaluation summaries, transcripts, and house a list of your Out of District clock hours.

Instructions, tutorials and links can be found on the Home tab in your ProDev account.

Paras: information regarding para certification and FCS (Foundational Couse of Study) requirements can be found at https://www.pesb.wa.gov/.

  • Staff should pre-register for courses.
  • Courses must be completed during the open and close dates of the course to receive credit.
  • Send documentation of completed courses to Tracey Schneewind in Teaching & Learning within 10 days of the end date of the course to receive credit. (Course Info PDF will list under credits if documentation is required).
  • Inservice Forms/Out of District clock hours (keep a copy for your own records) should be sent to Tracy Schneewind in Teaching & Learning.

Paras: Fundamental Course of Study (FCS) courses will be assigned to you. Those courses will be listed in your ProDev account > My Records > Course Enrollment. Paras who have completed their 28 FCS will need to complete 14 clock hours by the end of the school year. Courses should be completed during your normal work hours throughout the year, as time allows. Work with your supervisor to flex your hours to work on your courses, or apply for the PSE Classified funds to complete course outside of work hours. The application can be found on this webpage.
