We are pleased to share that Shayla Sharlow has accepted the principal position at Manchester Elementary.
Ms. Sharlow currently serves as Assistant Principal at East Port Orchard Elementary. Over the past three years, she has worked extensively to improve student attendance, strengthen positive behavior supports, and build effective systems to support students and staff. She has coached grade-level professional learning teams and is known for developing strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, and families. Ms. Sharlow has also prioritized inclusive practices that strengthen engagement through communication and community-connected events.
Prior to coming to South Kitsap School District, Ms. Sharlow worked in the Bremerton School District where she gained experience as an administrative intern in multiple schools and lead a professional learning community. Ms. Sharlow will work with outgoing principal Rachelle Byrd to ensure a smooth transition for Manchester students and staff.
