We are pleased to share that April Emerson will be the new Assistant Principal at Marcus Whitman Middle School starting in the 2026-2027 school year.
Ms. Emerson currently serves as Assistant Principal at Poulsbo Middle School in the North Kitsap School District. She is already familiar with the South Kitsap community having previously served as both a Dean of Students and Teacher at South Kitsap High School. Ms. Emerson is a dedicated educational leader known for fostering lasting partnerships with staff, families, and the community. She believes in cultivating a thriving school culture and climate where every student feels a sense of belonging and empowered to succeed.
Ms. Emerson fills the vacancy of current Assistant Principal Renee Murphy who is leaving SKSD.
